I wonder if you can see yourself in my story. Wonder what parts you can really relate to?
It was a challenging time in my life. Pursuing a wrong vision of success caused me to embrace a set of values that produced death in the DNA of my soul. In effect, the life I was living through my work no longer aligned with what I professed to believe.
The transforming power of Christ was supposed to be at the center of my life. The truth was, that some other values had become the center of my world.
Nothing was supposed to be more important than relationships, but making dollars took a much higher priority. Accumulating 'stuff' was important. Unresolved conflicts began to stack up. Living without margin became a daily routine. Each day was like the one before. Being a change agent was a thing of the past.
What happened? With the help of some outside voices, I began to search.
It is in times like these that a mentor or coach can be invaluable. They can help you navigate life's changes, providing guidance and support as you adapt to new circumstances. They can help you stay focused on your true priorities and values, even when success threatens to pull you off course.
Like me, you may consider writing your obituary. Nothing morbid, just a paragraph. Writing it helped me imagine the totality of my life here on earth and was instrumental in reverse engineering a ten, five, and one-year plan.
Having a very clear vision for your life story at passing can help you. Dreaming about your legacy can become a daily habit. It was a life-changer for me.

Writing out my ten, five, and then my one-year plan brought my values into focus: Legacy! Since that time, securing my legacy has been a driving force in my life. I want the same for you.
